Reut Shavit will be joining #ALGIECEL as the laboratory and pilot plant manager of our pilot project at Teknologisk Institut near Copenhagen.
Reut is a biologist and analytical chemist with a background in meat and meat-like product aroma analysis from her previous work at THE MEDITERRANEAN FOOD LAB in Isreal.
Her main research in Ben-Gurion University of the Negev was on secondary metabolites in wheat and CRISPR-cas9 gene editing to increase plant defense against insect herbivory.
Reut loves to eat #microalgae but also enjoyed working on it at TransAlgae (Israel), as a scientist focusing on algal biotechnology.
